For the past 25 years, Bruce has been providing superior quality painting and decorative finishing to hundreds of residential and commercial clients throughout the United States.
What started out as a stone lithography business in 1860 by Richard Thalman in Chicago. Continues three generations later, with Thalman Designs.
Bruce’s training includes touring the finest cities in the world to meet other artists to learn how to continue bringing authentic finishes from the world to his clients’ home and work environments.

Bruce is one of only a few decorative artists in the United States to offer this service, at this quality. Bruce has become the "go to guy" for all your painting and decorative finishing questions and needs.
From hand ground pigments from London, to Venetian plasters from Italy, and the finest wood graining from Paris, Bruce turns any space large or small into the most amazing visual experience.
Bruce’s professional training includes attending the Chicago Institute of Decorative Finishing, North American School of Decorative Arts, and The Finishing School of New York.
